Ontario, Canada Chapter MWNF
History
On December 16, 2002, Happy Landings author Garth Wallace
was the guest speaker at the 44th Annual Man Will Never Fly Memorial Society
Dinner Meeting held in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. He drove there, of
course. This was the night before the 99th
Anniversary of the Wright Brothers alleged first powered flight.
The topic of his speech was: Why Woman Will Never Fly Either
Following the banquet, Wallace was invited by the MWNF
Chairman of the Bored to establish a chapter of the MWNF Society in Canada.
So the Frosted Beaver Chapter, MWNF was born.
Mission
The purpose of the Frosted Beaver Chapter is to enlighten
Canadians to the fact that man has not, is not and will not ever fly. If you're
not a believer, ask any kid, present or former, who has jumped out of the loft
of a barn wearing an old beaver coat for a cape expecting to fly. Better yet,
try that trick yourself. You'll believe.
Chapter Motto
"Beavers are good for many things but flying isn't
one of them."
Reports
The Frosted Beaver Chapter submits annual reports to the MWNF Society
Headquarters keeping the Americans informed that man has not, is not and will
not ever fly in Canada.
Membership
Membership to the Frosted Beaver Chapter is free.
Spend your money on more important things like antifreeze.
To join the Frosted Beaver Chapter MWNF, you are required to laugh; laugh long
and laugh loud. Aviation laughs are preferred but any laugh will do. Blond
jokes, farmer's daughter jokes and Canadian jokes about Americans work well.
Once you have laughed hard enough to fill your pants, front or back, or at least
make your sides ache, then you are an official member of the Frosted Beaver
Chapter MWNF.
To maintain membership in good standing, you must laugh often.
Please note 1: Anyone who has jumped out of a barn loft wearing an
old beaver coat for a cape expecting to fly is also entitled to membership.
